Burlington Welsh Ladies Chorus

Entertainment, Education and Appreciation of Choral Singing

The Burlington Welsh Ladies Chorus (BWLC) is a welcoming group of women
who are passionate about bringing the community together through music and song. We foster creativity, stimulate culture
and encourage social cohesion by inviting all women of the community in learning songs and singing in different languages
without songbooks – as is Welsh Tradition – to entertain the public.

The BWLC sings a repertoire ranging from pop music, show tunes, opera choruses, spirituals and, of course, a few Welsh and Welsh inspired songs under the direction of Janice Beninger, with accompaniment by Christopher Hunt.

Do you love to sing?

We always welcome new members! Our chorus meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 at St. Matthew on-the-Plains, 126 Plains Road E, Burlington ON L7T 2C3.

Although our group is inspired by traditional Welsh music and songs, most of the songs that we sing are in English. It is not a requirement to be Welsh to join our chorus.

Our chorus had the pleasure of performing at beautiful Queenston Heights Park, Niagara on Sunday, July 12th, as part of the Niagara Parks Queenston Concert Series

Our next performance will be on September 26th when we will perform at the opening of the Celtic Festival in Oakville. More information on our Events page
